🛡 1. General Safety Tips
Staying informed and taking early action can save lives.
Here’s what everyone should follow:
Avoid riverbanks, flooded roads, low-lying areas, and landslide-prone hills.
Move to higher ground or a safe shelter if your area is at risk.
Follow all official updates from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Irrigation Department, and local authorities.
👶 Safety for Children
Do NOT allow children to go near floodwater or heavy rain.
Keep them indoors or in a safe shelter.
Ensure their food, warm clothing, and medicine are packed if relocation is needed.
Always supervise them—children can slip into water within seconds.
👨🦳 Safety for Adults & Elderly
Provide support for older adults who have mobility or medical issues.
Keep necessary medicines, inhalers, health documents ready.
Avoid driving or walking through unknown water levels.
Relocate early if your area is under a landslide or flood warning.

Pack personal hygiene items, emergency clothing, and essential supplies.
Ensure safe and well-lit shelter or evacuation point.
Keep mobile fully charged and share your location with family if travelling.
